XVG (VergeCurrency) Mining Tutorial

VergeCurrency,abbreviation as:XVG. The anonymity problem is solved through multiple anonymous hub networks, with high anonymity. At the same time, Verge supports the multi-algorithm mining of scrypt, X17, lyra2rev2, MYR groestl and blake2s; people with different types of miners could mine this coin.

The F2pool currently supports the XVG mining of the Blake2s,Scrypt & X17 algorithm.

I   Mine Verge with Blake2s algorithm

1) using AMD miner

Download Claymore’s dual mining software firstly;then unzipping the file and finding the “start” file as shown below:

Right-click the file, select “Edit”, open it and fill in the following command line:

ETH+XVG Dual Mining:

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth.f2pool.com:8008 -ewal Wallet_address -eworker Worker_name -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://xvg-blake2s.f2pool.com:9008 -dwal wallet_address.worker_name -dpsw x -mode 0 -dcoin blake2s -dcri 20

ETC+XVG Dual Mining:

Verify that the mining pool address is correct. After modifying and filling in the correct wallet address and worker name, save the “start” file; Run the “start” file directly to start mining. The successful mining interface is shown as below:

2) for NIVDIA Miner

Using ccmner or claymore to mine, if you use claymore version of the mining software, set up the same way as the AMD miner; also dual mining ETH and XVG; it will not be described in detail.

【Please Note】:For N-card miner, when running ccmner, you need to use CUDA 9.0 or later versions; When running claymore, the following versions of CUDA are used: 8.0, 9.1, 7.5, 6.5.

If you use the ccmner software for solo mining, the setting method is as follows:

Downloading the “ccminer” mining software firstly; then unzipping the file and finding the “start” file as shown below:

Right-click the “start” file, select “Edit”, open it and fill in the following command line:

ccminer-x64 -a blake2s -o stratum+tcp://xvg-blake2s.f2pool.com:9008 -u wallet_address.worker_name -p x

II  Mine Verge with Scrypt algorithm

1.Assemble your miner machine.Please make sure the network line cable and power lines of L3+/L3++ are connected correctly; please make sure that both the power lines of the hash board and the control board are connected correctly.

2. Searching IP: Power on your miner and the power indicator starts to flash. At this point, the miner’s IP mode is DHCP (automatically obtain IP).

On another computer in the same LAN (referred to as “Management PC”), download the IP reporter software. After unzipping, double-click the “IPReporter” client in the folder, and then click “Start” as shown below:

Press the “IP reporter” button on the front of the miner and release it after 1s. At this time, an IP will pop up on the “IPReporter” client; this IP is the your miner’s IP address. 009.png3. Enter the miner management backstage. On the “management PC”, open the browser, enter the IP found above, and enter the account information in the dialog box that pops up. The username and password are both “root” and click “Sign in”.

4. Setting mining parameters : please set the mining pool URL and worker in “Miner Configuration/General Settings”.

URL:Fill in the mining pool address : stratum+tcp://xvg-scrypt.f2pool.com:9009. .

Worker:Fill in verge wallet address, and fill in a worker name after the address to distinguish different miners. The wallet address and the worker name are separated by an English dot “.” or an underline “_”. The format is as follows: wallet_address.worker_name

Password: worker’s password (fill in at random).

After completing the above settings, click on “Save & Apply” in the lower right corner and start mining. After a few minutes, you can view the mining status in “Miner status”, including the time of mining, the hashrates, and the details of each hash board, etc.

III   Mine Verge with X17 algorithm

1) using AMD miner

Download sgminer software firstly;then unzipping the file and finding the “start” file,right-click the file, select “Edit”, open it and fill in the following command line:

IV   The method of monitoring miner and checking revenue

Firstly, opening the F2pool official website by:https://www.f2pool.com; click the search button at the top right corner. Secondly, entering the wallet address setting in the mining software, and select algorithm your choose to mine, clicking “Go”; then ,you can check the status of miner and the account revenue as shown below:
