About Ycash (YEC )
Ycash is a community-led project and is completely independent from both the Electric Coin Company and the Zcash Foundation. At block height 570,000 of the Zcash blockchain (2019-7-18), Ycash forked away from Zcash.
The algorithm of Ycash is Equihash192_7, supporting GPU card mining and it may change the algorithm in the future to prevent ASIC.
1. Obtain suitable hardware
- ✅ YEC can be efficiently mined with GPU cards.
- ❌ YEC cannot be efficiently mined with CPU or ASIC mining machines.
View our Miners page to discover the most profitable GPU cards for YEC.
2. Obtain wallet address
A YEC wallet address is required for you to receive and monitor your mining revenue.
Mining revenue is distributed daily to every user that reaches the payout threshold. The payout threshold is 5 YEC and details about payout method, fees and threshold can be found here.
3. Obtain mining software
Choose from one of the popular mining software currently available for YEC.
- GMiner (Download)
- lolminer (Download)
- F2Pool versions of mining software pre-configured to our pool (Download)
4. Configure your mining device
Download the mining software and unzip the files. Right-click on “start.bat” and click “edit”.
miner.exe –algo 192_7 –pers ZcashPoW –server yec.f2pool.com –port 4500 –user wallet_address.worker_name –pass x
lolMiner.exe –coin AUTO192_7 –overwritePersonal ZcashPoW –pool yec.f2pool.com –port 4500 –user wallet_address.worker_name –pass x
5. Start mining!
Your machines are ready to start mining. From “Address Search” on the F2Pool homepage, you can insert your wallet address and monitor your hashrate, revenue, and payouts. You can also view the information through our F2Pool App. From the login screen, select “Quick View” in the bottom right corner and enter your wallet address.
